This land was recently purchased by the City of Decatur from the United Methodist Children's Home when they moved to Tucker. (As of April 2018) the city is still in the planning stages for what will be done with the land, but from what I have read it seems that it will partly be kept undeveloped because of the terms of the deal.

MARTA directions: Leave Avondale Station via the pedestrian bridge to E College Ave. The East Decatur Greenway will eventually end here, but for now (April 2018) there is construction, and you will need to walk east on E College for half a block and then south on Derrydown Way for a (long) block to reach the PATH. If you walk east on the PATH from its intersection with Derrydown Way, you will soon see an unpaved trail on the right.
Cycling directions: Coming from Avondale Station or the Stone Mountain PATH, follow the same directions as above.
Parking: Parking is available along the dirt road on the southeast side of the ball fields.
Trailhead(s): The unpaved trails begin at the parking area and also at two spots along the PATH
Trail surface: PATH is paved, other trails are natural surface
