Glenn Creek Nature Preserve
April 29, 2017 by Shawn Taylor in parks

In 2004, the Glenn Creek Nature Preserve Alliance raised over $65,000 to facilitate the purchase of this property from the owner, who wanted it to become a nature preserve. $90,000 was added from the Georgia Community Greenspace Funds, and the property was purchased by the City of Decatur in December 2004. The Georgia Land Trust assisted. According to the deed, the land is to be used as a nature preserve in perpetuity.
